BUSINESS CHALLENGE:

The customer decided 2 years ago to migrate part of his IT infrastructure to a public cloud. He chose to use more than one cloud provider and started working to accomplish its mission. Technically, it was great, things were moving fast with no problems, the implementation was quick and smooth, and he even got credit from the vendors, so he didn’t spend anything in the first few months.
Then, one small issue turned into a major problem: his monthly payments increased without any control and visibility, and the cloud expanses became a major problem.
Soon, the customer ran out of budget. There was no allocation, no visibility, services were not exhausted to their potential. Services ran without any control, unmanaged, without accurate policy and governance and most of the services were paid in high rate in a “pay as you go” model.
At that point, the customer realized that using the cloud is great, but he needs FinOps experts that will help him to handle all the cloud’s expanse issues.

MIRACLE SOLUTION:

The customer chose our Expert Team to help him take back control, to achieve visibility and start managing the Cloud Finance Aspect (FinOps).
Days after we started working together, we installed the Miracle Multi-Cloud Platform: our self-made unique application for collecting costs and usage details directly from the cloud provides ang managing all FinOps aspect.
At the same time, we started to learn about the customer’s cloud environment, his cloud needs, cloud inventory, stakeholder, cloud services, performance, budget, allocation and more.
Soon, we started to understand all the cloud’s usage and cost, build dedicated dashboards for visibility (Trends, Insights and KPI’s) that helped us, and the customer to better understand the cloud environment.
Working hand in hand with our customer, while using our unique Miracle Platform, we checked for under or oversize services; searched for unmanaged services; built a schedule scheme; optimized service; made performance benchmarking; and built defined governance & policies regarding the customer cloud services for efficient control in the future.
Our Expert Team worked closely together with the customer and his cloud team to achieve all the customer’s expectations.
Miracle’s Expert Team had ongoing meeting and reports for cloud efficiency; cloud costs were allocated among business units and projects. Optimization helped the customer understand which resources he is using and what unnecessary resources he can clean up.
As part of our service and by using the Miracle Multi-Cloud Platform, we were able to find errors, optimize expenses, build trend and anomaly alerts, share a daily dashboard with the stakeholders to manage and control their budget and alert them for any unexpected expenses.
NOW all expenses are under control, clear and manageable.
